Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Alex Kurtzman talked about it during the SDDC

Some indiscretions from the executive director of the series, on the possible return of some of the characters in the new Trek series By Manuel Liberti / 2 August 2022 News continues to arrive about the Star Trek panel held last week at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. This time comes the words of the executive director Alex Kurtzman, who thanks to a question posted to him by a fan present at the panel, gave a hint to the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine series, which is not being talked about that much at the moment. Thanks to Trekmovie who was present at this panel, we report the news released by the magazine, adapted by Extra Trek. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Cast Part of the Cast of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine As previously mentioned, during the question and answer session at Comic-Con, a fan asked executive producer Alex Kurtzman if there were any discussions regarding DS9 and, if so, to update us on this series. Kurtzman was careful in his response, but revealed that there was talk of the series: I'm trying to answer your question without revealing anything. I think you will often talk about Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and obviously Sisko is a much discussed figure by all the fans, consequently by us too. In addition to saying that there have been some discussions about DS9, Kurtzman's comment about not "revealing anything" indicates that there is definitely something coming up related to DS9, beyond what is shown for the animated series Lower Decks 3, where we saw. appear the space station in the season trailer. A good guess could be a visit with one or more characters from the series during Picard's third season.

Michael Dorn's character - Worf

  - will be within the series, and as we know, he has been in the permanent cast for a good portion of DS9, but that's not likely to be what Matalas meant, as Worf is there as part of the series. of Picard's farewell season at TNG. Kurtzman went on to explain what it would take to revisit DS9 and / or its characters: What I mean is that we don't want to just throw ourselves into something without saying, "Oh, now we have a new idea." A new reason to do it, a way to transform it into something new so that it is not just a matter of repeating what we have seen in previous years, but also of following the essence of the series.

So if we ever go down that path, aside from what we're already doing on Lower Decks, I think we'd all like to make sure there's something new we can tell while keeping the old and dear DS9 footprint solid. So it doesn't look like Deep Space Nine will be a major factor in either of the two Star Trek series that Kurtzman said is currently in development. For what it's worth, the show is getting a lot of attention from IDW Publishing, which has announced an ongoing new Star Trek comic series that will focus on Sisko's return from the Bajoran wormhole following the DS9 series finale (forget it of course. the version translated into Italian, unless a miracle). Black and white preview image for Star Trek DS9 We expect that in one way or another Sisko & Co will return to our screens, also because, at least apparently, he would be the only "old" who has not yet had space in the new productions.

Hier sind wir doch vor 100billionentrilliarden Jahren schonmal vorbeigeflogen...
